Step-by-step guide to install the HQ Gold Scalper gold EA on MetaTrader 5: copy the .ex5, allow WebRequest, enter your token and start algo trading.
Make sure you have an MT5 account (demo or live) with a broker offering low XAUUSD spreads. Download MetaTrader 5 from your broker’s website and log in with your account number, password and server.
Tip: Start on a demo account for at least 1–2 weeks to get to know the EA.
Open the Token menu and enter your details and the MT5 account number you will use. Save the token in the format HQGS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
Tip: The token is locked to one account number. Wrong number = invalid token.
Click the download button below to get HQ_Gold_Scalper.ex5.
In MT5 click File → Open Data Folder. Open MQL5 → Experts and paste HQ_Gold_Scalper.ex5 there.
Tip: Back in MT5, right-click the Navigator panel → Refresh. The EA will appear under Expert Advisors.
Open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors. Tick Allow algorithmic trading and Allow WebRequest for listed URL, then add this address to the list:

Open File → New Chart → XAUUSD (the symbol name may differ per broker, e.g. XAUUSD.m, GOLD). Set the timeframe to M5 (or M1 for aggressive mode).
Drag HQ_Gold_Scalper from the Navigator onto the chart. On the Common tab tick Allow Algo Trading. On the Inputs tab paste your token into InpToken — every other parameter already has a default value:

Tip: Only InpToken is required. Change InpLot and the USD amounts only to match a larger account — see the tested capital/lot combinations on Backtest Result.
Click the Algo Trading button on the toolbar until it turns green. The hat icon in the top-right corner of the chart should be blue. Open Toolbox → Experts and make sure you see Token valid · active until ….
